Why WA farmers will be using AgriGard™

“The biggest benefit of using AgriGard is reduced header downtime. During harvest, replacement machinery and parts can be extremely difficult to source. Any delay can push back harvest within a critical time window, potentially leading to significant financial losses.

Tom Godfrey
Grain Farmer
Wyola West WA

"The main reasons to use AgriGard are to protect our staff, machines and offer peace of mind. Early detection of smoke, bearing or belt failure is paramount. An early alert provides a genuine safety advantage to help keep our machines running.Further peace of mind for when the day is done and I know it is still being monitored whilst I am away from the machine.”

Ash Teakle
Grain Farmer
North Cunderdin WA

I personally reached out to our Agricultural mechanics and contract harvesters and the feedback was unanimous – smoke detection systems [like AgriGard™] on headers will become a must over the next few harvests; reasons given:
1. New equipment has become more difficult to source
2. Contract harvesters have become more scarce meaning, in the event of a fire, you may not be able to get contractors to assist if you do not have a secondary header.
3. Fire risk to not just their crops but also their neighbours’.
4. Feeling that it may well become mandatory from insurance firms
5. OSH on farms.
